Our Story
Premium streetwear born in Spain
Who are we
Desperate For Attention is a premium streetwear brand for people who don't take themselves too seriously, while also caring about the environment. We are an indie streetwear brand born in Spain with hopes and dreams to save the world. Ok, that's maybe a bit unrealistic. But in a world where almost every brand is owned by a mega-corporation that wants to turn the planet into a giant landfill, just to make a profit for their shareholders, we want to do better.
We’re not afraid to admit that we’re Desperate For Attention! After all, that’s what all of us crave deep down if we’re being really honest. To be noticed and recognized for the amazing, funny, smart and hot people that we all know we are. And there’s nothing wrong in admitting that you want attention, it’s really not that deep. But do you know what is deep? And who is REALLY Desperate For Attention? The environment!
Sustainability
Let’s be frank, the world is being run by faceless corporations and multi-billionaires who will gladly watch the world burn, as long as their stock price is going up. And sadly there’s not much all us regular people can do. Yes, we can go out and protest and sign petitions, but we believe that our biggest power is voting with our wallet. Choosing more environmentally friendly options and supporting small businesses takes money away from giant corporations and directly supports businesses trying to make a difference.
And we are one of those businesses, so we hope you’ll support us. We work with suppliers and manufacturers that have ethical and sustainable business practices. We care about everyone in the supply chain being compensated fairly and the environment treated with kindness. We choose fabrics that are organic, plastic free and vegan certified. All our garments are printed locally in Spain and we strive to reduce the carbon footprint of the fashion industry, by eventually manufacturing all our products locally.
The fashion industry is a dirty business! With many fast fashion companies using slave labour, polluting rivers with dangerous chemicals and dumping their plastic filled garments in landfills to stay there for centuries. We don’t want that and we won’t compromise on ethics and the environment.
Our pledge
As much as all that was probably a bit depressing to read, we believe we can make a change. In recent years the sustainable fashion movement has been gaining more traction and we feel there is a shift in attitudes towards slower fashion and we are excited to be a part of that change!
As you can probably tell by our brand name, we really don’t take ourselves too seriously. Our brand identity and designs are aimed to be tongue-in-cheek, toeing the line between what’s appropriate and what isn’t. We just hope you get our sense of humour and we don’t get cancelled in the process.
We pledge to be an ethical business you can be proud to support, to use sustainable materials and practices. And to make environmentally friendly choices for a better tomorrow for all of us. ❤️
